About the Journal

Scope of the Journal

The Universal Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (UJPSR) publishes high-quality scientific contributions covering the broad and multidisciplinary areas of pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences, and allied life sciences. The journal aims to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, students, healthcare professionals, and industry experts to disseminate original research, review articles, short communications, case studies, and scientific reports that contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical knowledge and healthcare research.

UJPSR welcomes manuscripts from all major disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences, including but not limited to pharmacology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical biotechnology, clinical pharmacy, toxicology, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and pharmaceutical technology. The journal also encourages interdisciplinary research involving botany, zoology, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, nanotechnology, computational biology, and other life science disciplines that are relevant to drug discovery, drug development, therapeutics, and healthcare.

The journal considers research in areas such as:

  • Pharmacological screening and evaluation of natural, synthetic, and semi-synthetic compounds

  • Preclinical studies, animal models, and experimental pharmacology

  • Cell line studies, cytotoxicity studies, and in vitro biological evaluations

  • Drug discovery, drug design, and molecular mechanism-based studies

  • In-silico studies including molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, ADMET prediction, QSAR, pharmacophore modelling, network pharmacology, and bioinformatics

  • Phytochemistry, pharmacognostic evaluation, ethnopharmacology, and herbal drug research

  • Isolation, identification, and characterization of bioactive compounds from natural sources

  • Standardization, quality control, and evaluation of herbal formulations

  • Formulation development and evaluation of conventional and novel drug delivery systems

  • Nanopharmaceuticals, liposomes, microspheres, nanoparticles, transdermal systems, and targeted drug delivery

  • Pharmaceutical analysis, analytical method development, validation, and stability studies

  • Chemical synthesis, medicinal chemistry, and characterization of new chemical entities

  • Spectroscopic, chromatographic, thermal, and physicochemical characterization of drugs and formulations

  • Toxicological evaluation, safety assessment, and pharmacokinetic studies

  • Clinical pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, pharmacovigilance, and rational drug use

  • Pharmaceutical microbiology, antimicrobial studies, and biotechnology-based pharmaceutical research

  • Nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, functional foods, and traditional medicine-based studies

  • Pharmaceutical education, regulatory sciences, intellectual property rights, and quality assurance

  • Interdisciplinary research from botany, zoology, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and other life sciences with direct relevance to pharmaceutical sciences

UJPSR gives preference to manuscripts that demonstrate scientific originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, clear presentation of results, and meaningful contribution to pharmaceutical sciences. Studies with strong experimental design, appropriate statistical analysis, clear interpretation, and relevance to drug discovery, development, standardization, safety, efficacy, or therapeutic application are particularly encouraged.

The journal also supports research that bridges traditional knowledge with modern scientific validation, promotes innovation in pharmaceutical research, and contributes to the development of safe, effective, and quality healthcare products.
